HCA Interpreter Services Update

The HCA Interpreter Services website has been updated! Please visit to learn more about program changes and how to request an interpreter for limited English speaking and deaf and hard of hearing clients. 

HCA has a new vendor, Universal Language Service (Universal), who will be filling requests for Medicaid covered interpreter services provided July 1, 2018 and after.

  • Interpreters can register with Universal here

Medicaid Transition to Managed Care Cancelled

The 2019 Legislature has directed the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) to continue to administer the dental Medicaid program through fee-for-service. The HCA may not proceed with a carved-out or carved-in managed care dental option at this time.
