Nov 5, 2025
It's time to renew your WSDA, ADA and local dental society membership. WSDA is decreasing the cost of membership in 2026. Renew online by January 1 to enter to win a refund of your 2026 dues!

Thank you for your membership in the Washington State Dental Association (WSDA), American Dental Association (ADA) and this year. I invite you to remain a member of our dental community in the coming year by renewing your membership for 2026 at wsda.org/renew. All members who renew online by January 1 will be entered to win a refund of the cost of their 2026 membership.

Renew Your Membership for 2026

As we enter year two of our membership model pilot program, I’m excited to share some fantastic news:

  • WSDA’s dental community grew in 2025: Dentists are joining in record numbers, with a 94% increase in new members year-over-year through October 2025. Our efforts are stronger with more dentists’ support!
  • WSDA is decreasing the cost of membership again in 2026: All WSDA members six or more years out of dental school will pay $999 or less in 2026 (a $250 decrease from 2025!), with early career dentists up to five years out of dental school continuing to pay just $444 or less.

In a time when seemingly everything is becoming more expensive, WSDA seeks to counteract the trend. Your membership dues are not our answer to rising costs. Instead, we continue to invest in new sources of non-dues revenue so that we can do something different—ask dentists to pay less, while we deliver more for our profession.

As I consider WSDA’s recent wins and future efforts, the value the Association delivers is clear:

  • In 2025, WSDA passed critical dental benefits reforms through Senate Bill 5351, placing restrictions on same-day denials and virtual credit card payments and forcing the dental benefits industry to the negotiation table on dental loss ratio and non-network reimbursement fairness.
  • In 2025, WSDA helped stop a B&O tax increase for dentists that would have taxed $3,500 per $1,000,000 collected for most dental offices, saving Washington dentists thousands of dollars in averted taxes.
  • In 2026, WSDA will reintroduce workforce legislation to address our state’s severe shortage of hygienists and assistants.
  • In 2026, WSDA will introduce additional dental benefits reform legislation to prohibit arbitrary age limits on fluoride varnishes imposed by some dental plans.
  • WSDA recently helped stop an unnecessary and burdensome continuing competency rule that would have required dentists to complete an additional 63 hours of continuing education every three years, take a re-certification exam every 10 years, and participate in peer practice evaluations.

WSDA is dedicated to being the leader in advocacy and support for dentists pursuing excellence. We are the only organization in Washington committed to fighting for dentists against unfair insurance practices, undue costs and regulations, workforce shortages and other issues impacting our profession and patients.

Our fight is not over. Please continue as a member of our community by renewing for 2026 at wsda.org/renew.
