WSDA Requests Delta Provide Additional Financial Relief to Washington Dentists

WSDA requests that Delta contribute $50 million in additional financial relief to Washington dentists.

As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, WSDA is actively seeking ways to support Washington dentists during these uncertain times.

In light of the current crisis, the WSDA Foundation recently expanded its organizational scope to establish a financial relief fund to support dentists and dental practices in our state that suffer economic hardship as a result of declared disasters. This relief fund is overseen by a committee appointed by the WSDA Foundation Board of Directors.

This committee is currently in the process of asking organizations dependent upon Washington’s dental community to contribute financial support.

Earlier today, WSDA sent this letter to Delta Dental of Washington CEO Mark Mitchke requesting that Delta contribute $50 million in additional financial relief to Washington dentists based upon the historic financial support that Washington dentists have provided Delta during its 66-year history.

We will share additional information about the relief fund as it becomes available.
