Find Give Kids A Smile Events in Your Area

Learn how to find Give Kids A Smile events in your area.
The ADA Foundation’s toll-free number for its Give Kids A Smile program helps caregivers and volunteers determine whether there is a GKAS event in their community.

Parents and caregivers seeking oral health services for their children, as well as dental team members and others seeking to volunteer for a GKAS program, can call 1-844-490-GKAS (4527) to get contact information for the GKAS event nearest to them.

Callers will speak to staff in the ADA Member Service Center, who may provide them with contact information for a GKAS event in their area. Callers can then contact the GKAS program directly to determine availability, what services are offered and the program date. Although many GKAS events take place in early February, others occur throughout the year.

The Member Service Center is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Central time.

GKAS is the Foundation's signature children's oral health access to care program. Through GKAS, children who may not have access to oral health care can receive free oral health education, screenings, preventive care and/or dental treatment from volunteer dentists and dental team members.

The GKAS program began in 2002 in St. Louis, and the ADA launched the program nationally in 2003 as a way for dentists to join with others in the community to provide dental services to underserved children. More than 5.5 million underserved children have received free oral health services since the program's inception. These free services are provided by about 10,000 dentists annually, along with 30,000 other dental team members.
