2025 WSDA Citizen of the Year: Dr. Kim Nordberg

Oct 16, 2025
The Association is honored to announce the late Dr. Kim Nordberg as WSDA's 2025 Citizen of the Year.

Each year, WSDA recognizes a member dentist who has gone above and beyond to serve the community through volunteerism, public office, and/or extraordinary service in a role beyond what is expected.

Whether it was working to protect the doctor-patient relationship from insurance interference or leading humanitarian missions to Guatemala, Kim's kindness, authenticity, and integrity provided quiet leadership and powerful inspiration to everyone who worked with him.

Dr. Nordberg and his wife, Bette, were tragically killed in a car accident in October 2024 — a heartbreaking loss for their family, friends, community, and the profession Kim loved. Several members of Dr. Nordberg’s family accepted the award on his behalf during the WSDA House of Delegates meeting in September.
