Mar 13, 2025
SSB 5351 would prohibit same-day denials, restrict fees on virtual credit card payments & require mediation on dental loss ratio & non-network reimbursement fairness. We need all Washington dentists, staff, patients, and anyone else interested in advocating for these important reforms to sign in PRO on SSB 5351!

On March 10, 2025, SSB 5351 — WSDA’s dental benefits reform legislation — was passed unanimously by the Washington State Senate. Our bill is now being considered by the House of Representatives, where its next important milestone is to be voted out of the House Health Care & Wellness Committee.

SSB 5351 is scheduled to be heard in committee next Wednesday, March 19 at 1:30 PM.

We need all Washington dentists, dental staff, patients, and anyone else interested in advocating for these important reforms to sign in PRO on SSB 5351!

If you are one of the over 1,400 supporters who signed in PRO for our bill several weeks ago in the Senate, we need you to do so again for the version of the bill now being considered by the House.

  • Requiring a mediation process to address the major issues of establishing a dental loss ratio threshold and creating non-network reimbursement fairness
