Commissioners will be attending via webinar, and this meeting will include the public hearing on the proposed anesthesia rules. In addition to the public hearing, the Commission will discuss updates to WAC 246-817-150 in alignment with Senate Bill 5113, which passed during the 2023 legislative session. As a reminder, this bill expanded faculty licensure from the UW School of Dentistry to all CODA-accredited dental schools in Washington, including the recently established Pacific Northwest University dental program.
The Commission will also hear updates from the Dental Inclusion Committee, EFDA Committee, and Continuing Competency Committee.
Finally, the Commission will discuss opening rules for
WAC 246-817-160, Graduates of Nonaccredited Schools.
