License Expiration Extension Ends Sept. 30

License Expiration Extension Ends Sept. 30

Health care professionals who took advantage of extended time to renew their license due to COVID-19 must renew on or before Sept. 30 for their credential to remain active and to avoid late fees.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Washington State Secretary of Health extended expiration dates and waived late fees for licenses due for renewal between April 1, 2020 and Sept. 30, 2020.

Health care professionals who took advantage of this extension must renew on or before Sept. 30 for their credential to remain active and to avoid late fees.

If you opted to delay renewal and have passed your normal expiration date, you will need to renew your credential by:

  • Renewing through the online licensing system (credit card, debit card or E-check accepted), or
  • Returning your DOH renewal notice with payment by mail (check or money order accepted)
No late fees will be due as long as online payments are received by 11:59 PM on Sept. 30, or postmarked no later than Sept. 30 if paying by mail.
