HCA Provider Alerts

The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) recently sent updates to providers regarding automated incident number email replies and updated billing guides.

Providers to receive incident number when contacting Apple Health (Medicaid) Provider Enrollment

Starting November 15, 2017, emails sent to our provider enrollment email address (providerenrollment@hca.wa.gov) will receive an automated reply with an incident number.

This allows us to provide better customer service by tracking your inquiry through our help desk ticketing system.

Is there anything I should do?

Yes. When checking on the status of your request, make sure that "RE:" followed by the incident number is included in the subject line of your follow-up email. (If you are replying to an email from the ticketing system, the incident number should already be in the subject line.)

For example:

  • RE: INC0001234

This ensures that all emails relevant to your incident will be connected.

What about modifications and updates?

Continue to submit modifications and updates through ProviderOne as usual.
