The Health Care Authority (HCA) recently sent the following alert to dental Medicaid providers.
HCA has filed a CR-101 for Dental-related services; WAC 182-535-1082, Covered—Preventive services; other related rules as appropriate. HCA had inadvertently struck a section covering tobacco/nicotine cessation counseling for the control and prevention of oral disease for pregnant women and is seeking to add this language back in, as well as identify additional related changes that are required in order to improve clarity or update policy.
