Your Delta Dental Proxy Ballot

Our recommendation, for those inquiring, is to hold off on completing your proxy ballot until we receive a response from Delta Dental.
Many of us in WSDA leadership have been asked by our colleagues to provide guidance on how to complete the proxy ballot mailed out last week by Washington Dental Service (Delta Dental) in connection with the vote on the four open positions for Member Directors. We want to share a development with you.

Attached here is a letter from Emily Studebaker (lead counsel for Bradshaw, et al. v. Washington Dental Service) to Delta Dental’s legal counsel requesting confirmation that member dentists will be permitted to nominate alternative candidates to those on the slate handpicked by Delta Dental.

Our recommendation, for those inquiring, is to hold off on completing your proxy ballot until we receive a response from Delta Dental to this request. We anticipate providing an update next week.

We believe now is the time for Delta Dental to implement real change and create a new partnership with member dentists through clear action that is different from the past. Member dentists must select our representatives on the Delta Dental Board of Directors.

Sincerely,

Dr. Dennis Bradshaw
