Membership Terms & Conditions

General Membership Terms

The membership year runs from January through December of any given year. Dues should be paid in full or an installment plan should be established by January 1 of that membership year. If dues have not been paid in full or a payment plan has not been established as of March 31, membership will expire and member dentists will no longer receive tripartite membership benefits.

Applicants are first approved for provisional membership. With provisional membership, applicants receive full access to all member benefits for 30 days while their local dental society reviews their application. This is standard procedure for all applications. If approved, applicants will be granted full membership at the end of this 30-day review period automatically with no further action needed on their part.

WSDA membership dues include a mandatory DentPAC contribution for political activities. If member dentists do not wish to contribute to DentPAC, they can choose to have this mandatory contribution applied to the Issues Fund. Contributions to the Issues Fund go only towards WSDA legislative issues; they do not support any particular candidate. Member dentists who wish to contribute to the Issues Fund in place of DentPAC must contact WSDA staff before paying their membership dues.

All member dentists pledge to adhere to the ADA Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct. Both can be reviewed at ada.org/ethics.

Payment Options

A receipt is sent to member dentists via email once their payment has been processed. WSDA recommends that member dentists keep this receipt for accounting purposes.

Online Payments
Pay online with a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express.

Online Installment Plan
The installment plan allows you to make 12 monthly payments with your credit card. Checks are not accepted for installment plan payments unless the installment plan is being paid in full. Beginning in 2025, there is no additional processing fee associated with membership installment plans.

The monthly installment payment amount is calculated by dividing the total membership cost by the number of remaining months in the calendar year. The first payment is charged upon renewal/join with the following payments scheduled as noted in your payment confirmation email.

Member dentists using the installment plan will receive email notification of successful installment charges and/or failed charges. Member dentists are responsible for updating their card information either online or by calling WSDA at (800) 448-3368. If a member dentist is past due on three installment charges, their membership will be cancelled and all tripartite membership benefits will cease.

If a member dentist chooses to cancel their installment plan before dues are paid in full and without making arrangements to pay dues in full, membership will be cancelled and all tripartite membership benefits will cease. No refund will be issued.
