Act Now: Say No to More Red Tape!

In order to comply with the Affordable Care Act, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have published a final rule (CMS-4159) requiring all dentists and eligible professionals who prescribe to Medicare Part D beneficiaries to either enroll or have a valid record of opting-out of Medicare in order for their prescriptions to be covered under Part D. This new rule, which goes into effect June 1, 2016, places an unnecessary administrative burden on dentists and their staff.

Recently, Congressmen Kenny Marchant (R-TX) and Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) introduced H.R. 4062, which seeks to exempt dentists and other non-physicians from this onerous regulation. This legislation will prevent the creation of additional barriers in providing care to your senior patients and prevent you and your staff from having to embark on the arduous enrollment/opt-out process.

Take action today by urging your congressman/congresswoman to co-sponsor H.R. 4062!
