"We had more than 6,000 in attendance," said WSDA Senior Vice President Amanda Tran, "And were pleased to receive a great deal of positive feedback about our first PNDC in Bellevue." And while there were a couple of minor, first day hiccups, the members of the Committee on PNDC, Tran and her staff Craig Mathews and Katie Olson worked quickly to correct the issues and get back on track.

The new location
Attendees liked the new Bellevue location, reporting that they felt safer and enjoyed the amenities the city of Bellevue had to offer. Additionally, they raved about the Welcome Reception held on Thursday night at the Meydenbauer Center, and spoke highly of both lectures and workshops offered at the event. The Clinical Pearls program was especially well-received, as were offerings by Anna Pattison and Uche Odiatu. Additionally, many dentists took advantage of the Thursday night lecture and workshop offerings to maximize their CDE credits.

The new, smaller Exhibit Hall was also a hit — attendees remarked that the space was easier to navigate, and that the exhibitors in attendance represented companies they were most interested in meeting with and buying from. More than 2,000 conference goers attended the Welcome Reception, enjoying hors d'oeuvres and adult beverages (including a signature cocktail courtesy of Nakanishi Dental Lab), and taking some time to relax and unwind after a day of top-notch continuing dental education. While at the reception, many had a chance to experience the virtual graffiti wall or support the Washington Oral Health Foundation by purchasing a bottle of wine at their annual Wall of Wine event — another big success of the event. Throughout the conference, busses whisked people easily between the two properties with little or no waiting time — but even so, some attendees took advantage of the great weather to walk between the Hyatt Regency Bellevue and the Meydenbauer Center.
