Changes to Foundation & Outreach Program
WSDA would like to inform our membership of recent changes to the Association’s charitable foundation. As of October 1, 2016, the Washington Oral Health Foundation (WOHF) is now known as the WSDA Foundation.
The Foundation’s Board of Directors recently completed a strategic planning session refocusing its resources and mission. Every dollar donated to the Foundation now goes to services, with the WSDA covering all administrative expenses and staffing.
As a part of these changes, the Outreach Program is being phased out and will end effective December 31, 2016. Patients already accepted into the program can still be served, but new patients will no longer be accepted. WSDA will now refer all inquiries to the Washington State Department of Health’s Washington Information Network (WIN). Patients may contact the WIN by calling 211 or visiting www.win211.org.
We appreciate our members' generosity and participation in the Outreach Program. We look forward to announcing even more effective direct services, improving access to care, and maximizing your donations in the months to come.
Please stay tuned for more announcements regarding the new WSDA Foundation!
