ADA Dentists Move the Needle on Capitol Hill
This year over 470 dentists advocates from all 50 states descended on Washington, DC to advocate on behalf of your patients, your practice, and your profession. Since the Washington Leadership Conference in April, ADA supported legislation has gained over 90 co-sponsors in Congress.
ADA dentists advocated for passage of three important pieces of legislation: the Action for Dental Health Act (H.R. 539) will expand oral health education and prevention outreach programs by allowing organizations to qualify for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) oral health grants. The Student Loan Refinancing Act (H.R. 649) allows new dentists to refinance their federal student loans more than once to take advantage of lower interest rates. The RAISE Act of 2015 (H.R. 1185) makes common sense changes to the current Health Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) to give families more control for their out-of-pocket health care expenses.
Please join your colleagues in advocating for the Action For Dental Health Act by sending a message to your member of Congress.
