HCA Needs Your Input
Please take a few minutes to fill out this important survey. The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) has the opportunity to receive 90% federal funding match to invest in opportunities that assist with the promotion of health information exchange (HIE) and encourage the use of certified Electronic Health Record (EHR) technology by our state’s Medicaid providers.
Not all providers are eligible for Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs (Meaningful Use), and as a great deal of a patient’s care is provided by ineligible providers, it becomes challenging to share patient information across different clinical information technology systems. In order to address this challenge, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services have made federal funding available to assist states in promoting HIE for providers not eligible for Meaningful Use Incentives.
By responding to this survey, you will be providing the HCA with important insight into how to best utilize federal funds to improve Medicaid provider connectivity.
The deadline to complete this survey is July 18, 2016. Please send any questions or comments to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Environmental Scan” in the subject line.
