Course Description:
Resorption is becoming more and more common and it can be difficult to diagnose. Many times it is not found until it has destroyed a significant amount of tooth structure. There are many different types of Resorption and the first step in deciding what type of treatment, if any, is needed is to know what type of resorption it is. With the advent of Cone Beam CT technology, proper diagnosis is much more accurate. After listening to this lecture you will confidently diagnose what type of resorption is occurring and be able to recommend the best treatment for your patient.
Dr. Roy Kaldestad practiced General Dentistry for 8 years before specializing in Endodontics. He has practiced Endodontics in Tacoma since 1998 and also has a satellite office in Puyallup. During that time he has seen an increase in patient referrals for the treatment of resorptive lesions and has found the resorptive process to be fascinating. Dr. Kaldestad is a member of the Pierce County Dental Society, Washington State Dental Association, American Dental Association and American Association of Endodontists. He serves as the Scientific Advisor in Endodontics at the Kois Center in Seattle and is the Chairman of the Peer Review Committee for Pierce County Dental Society.
