Part 1 – The History of Implants: Their Past, Present & Future
This discussion will center on early implants, both root form and alternative designs. It will discuss the advent of the root form implant, its early form, and the progression of innovations leading up to the designs we have today. We will also discuss future trends such as surface treatments for enhanced soft tissue attachment as well as ceramic implants.

Part 2 – Connecting Teeth to Implants: Can We, Should We, How Do We Do It?
Part 2 of this lecture will discuss the rationale behind connecting teeth to implants. What does the literature say? Can we in fact connect teeth and implants? If so, how do we do it and what are the indications and contraindications?
