WDS is Spooked!

Like a bad zombie movie, WDS is bringing several false accusations back from the dead. We'll let you guess if they're giving out tricks or treats!

WDS started celebrating Halloween a little early...we'll let you guess if they're giving out tricks or treats!

Earlier this week, WDS sent all of its members a second proxy ballot. In the notice, it states “It is in YOUR best interest to vote ‘Against’ the Petition and send in your completed Proxy form to WDS today.”

Is it possible that WDS does not like how member dentists are exercising their legal governance rights? Does anyone think WDS would have sent a letter like this if they liked how their members were voting? Do you think WDS actually knows what’s in YOUR best interest? It appears that WDS is spooked!

We strongly recommend that you vote “For” the proposed bylaw amendments! We also recommend that you help us spook WDS even more on November 15 by attending the special meeting in person.

If you cannot attend in person, click here for directions on how to complete your proxy in support of the bylaw amendments.

Like a bad zombie movie, WDS is bringing several false accusations back from the dead. We thought it was important to clear up some misinformation that is being spread about the proposed changes. It is important that you are not “myth-informed” by Delta Dental.

  1. Despite what WDS says, the proposed bylaw amendments are squarely focused on empowering member dentists to elect their representation on the WDS Board of Directors instead of the WDS Board hand-picking its directors.
  2. The proposed bylaw amendments are not about fees. We do not believe the proposed bylaw amendments raise any antitrust concerns. The proposed amendments must be read in concert with the entire body of the bylaws and with the board’s duty to comply with the bylaws and all applicable laws, including antitrust laws.
  3. Only a board acting contrary to the total body of the bylaws and in breach of its fiduciary duty could allow the proposed amendments to lead to the ‘dismantling’ suggested by WDS’ most recent letter.

We can no longer stand by and let Delta erode our governance rights. Now is the time to demand that our voice be heard on the WDS Board of Directors.

Sincerely,

Dr. Dennis L. Bradshaw
