Washington state law requires dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants to complete 7 clock-hours of HIV/AIDS training. Dental assistants must complete this training before registering with the Department of Health.

WSDA has released an updated free HIV/AIDS online training course to meet this requirement. The six-unit course ​can be accessed ​at wsda.org/HIVAIDS.
