An employer toolkit is now available from the Washington State Employment Security Department (ESD) for information on how to implement requirements for Washington's new Paid Family and Medical Leave Program.

An employer toolkit is now available from the Washington State Employment Security Department (ESD) for information on how to implement requirements for Washington's new Paid Family and Medical Leave Program. 

The toolkit includes:

  • An employer readiness checklist
  • Information about the program including employer responsibilities, premiums, reporting, and the employee benefit
  • Sample communications to employees including sample handbook materials and sample text for a workplace blog, newsletter or employee email
  • Employee paystub insert
