DQAC Business Meeting – July 30

The Dental Quality Assurance Commission (DQAC) will hold its next business meeting on Friday, July 30 at 8:30 AM.

The Commission will give rule updates on the COVID-19 vaccination delegation rule, the dentist continuing education rule, the licensure requirements for EFDAs rule, the COVID-19 screening delegation rule, as well as consider modifying the rule on dentist retired active status.

Further, the Commission will hear an overview of the recent Dental Educational Outreach Committee meeting held July 8, discuss WAC 246-817-160 (Graduates of nonaccredited schools), discuss disciplinary hearing panels, and discuss various correspondence including correspondence on orofacial pain specialty related to the new specialty representation rule, a request from DOCS to present to the Commission, a response letter on the display of license requirement, and a response letter regarding sleep dentistry.

Finally, the Commission will discuss upcoming organization meetings including the CODA summer meeting scheduled for August 5-6, the Western Regional Examining Board (WREB) and Commission on Dental Competency Assessments (CDCA) merger, the upcoming Central Regional Dental Testing Service annual meeting scheduled for Aug. 28, the American Association of Dental Boards annual meeting scheduled for Oct. 30-31, and the American Association of Dental Administrators annual meeting scheduled for Oct. 28-29.
