Dentists are inundated with advertisements touting the strongest ceramics or the best cements to use. The vast amount of information can be downright confusing. This lecture is designed to help practitioners understand the advantages and limitations of current ceramics and cements on the market. With this information, dentists can make confident, evidence-based decisions on the appropriate ceramics and cements to use in their practices.

At the completion of this presentation, you will be able to:

  • Determine how to select the appropriate dental ceramic and cement based on clinical situation
  • Identify advantages and disadvantages of ceramic materials and cements
  • Understand how to classify dental ceramics and cements
