A temporary is not just a temporary! It is a key component to the initial diagnostic decision to treat your patient restoratively! Exquisite provisionals communicate to the patient, and to the lab, what is working and what is not. In this workshop, you will get the opportunity to practice fabricating provisionals on a dentiform model. Practicing allows you and your team to discuss and practice with materials and techniques for exquisite provisionals. We will also discuss and practice cementation options, and discuss how to manage tissue before, during, and after provisionalization. Lastly, exquisite provisionals will provide the pathway to help you, your team, and your patient achieve predictable restorative results through visual communication from the patient to the lab.
- Discuss principles of anterior provisionals and engage the patient in the benefit of these principles.
- Evaluate current provisional techniques in terms of fabrication and polishing.
- Feel confident in the cementation process and how to dial in the occlusion.
