Student Mentor Program

A joint effort of the WSDA and UW School of Dentistry, the Mentor Program began 18 years ago for students who wished to have a professional WSDA member assigned to them to use as a resource throughout the year.

The benefits to students are limitless; it helps them establish good relationships with professionals, gain insight into the importance of organized dentistry and first-hand observation of a working practice.

The WSDA pairs dental students with practicing dentists who consent to do the following: meet with and contact the student throughout the year, support and encourage the student during the year, educate him/her in areas of professional ethics, and help increase the student's awareness of the importance of organized dentistry.

If you would like to be a mentor, or to learn more about this program, please contact Wendy Wilson at wendy@wsda.org, or at 800.448.3368.
