Student Mentor Program
A joint effort of the WSDA and UW School of Dentistry Alumni Association, the Mentor Program began 19 years ago for students who wished to have a WSDA member assigned to them to use as a resource through dental school.
The WSDA pairs dental students with dentists who support and encourage the student during dental school, and educate him/her in areas of professional ethics, practice management and help increase the student's awareness of the importance of organized dentistry.
The benefits to students are limitless; it helps them establish good relationships with professionals and provides them with first-hand knowledge of a what takes to be a successful dentist in today's environment.
Students who would like to be assigned a mentor should complete this form. American Student Dental Association (ASDA) members will be given priority placement.
Dentists who wish to mentor a student should visit this page for more details.
Mentors and mentees are invited to attend the Mentor Reception on Thursday, November 29th from 6:00-8:30pm at the Burke Museum. Please RSVP here no later than Thursday, November 15th.
The mentor program is possible thanks to support from:
