RIPP (Rural Internship in Private Practice)
Every year, two dental students are given an opportunity to work in a rural community with WSDA members. This program provides dental students with the opportunity to experience what life is like as a dentist with a practice in a rural community, and to learn about living and raising a family outside of a major metropolitan area.
This program is intended to highlight the differences between rural and metropolitan practices. Students will have the opportunity to observe dental techniques and procedures while simultaneously learning about the business side of running a dental practice in a rural area. Each student will receive a stipend. It is a two week program between June and August.
Priority placement will be given to American Student Dental Association (ASDA) members.
