WOHF VOLUNTEERS AND STAFF KNOCK IT OUT OF THE PARK IN SEQUIM, WASH!
In the Washington Oral Health Foundation's first-ever oral health blitz on a community, WOHF Volunteers and Staff went to every school in Sequim, Washington, to make oral health presentations, pass out oral hygiene goodie bags, and provide positive anti-drug and tobacco messaging to older students. By blanketing the school system and adding a Smile Night at the Sequim Boys and Girls Club, the Foundation was able to present to more than 800 area children. Sequim District School Nurse Sonja Bittner would like to make it an annual event, where WOHF volunteers present each year to a new group of students. WOHF staff and volunteers visited the following locations: Greywolf Elementary, Haller Elementary, Sequim Middle School, Sequim High School and the Sequim Boys and Girls Club. Special thanks to the following presenters: Sandy Hardymon, Errin Aidane, RDH, Jennifer Zbaraschuk, RDH and Sonja Bittner.
