Begun in 1984, the Mass Disaster Identification Team is a statewide network of WSDA dentists and their staff who are trained to assist in the identification of human remains where personal recognition is impossible.
The 69-member team consists of 37 dentists, 29 auxiliaries, two police/ME specialists and a critical incident management specialist. Members are located throughout the state and across adjacent borders, and are ready to respond in their areas should they be needed.
Dr. Frank Morgan of Spokane and Dr. Stephanie Kavanaugh of Issaquah serve as co-chairs. For further information, email Dr. Morgan or Dr. Kavanaugh.
