Recently elected WSDA Board Member and former Leadership Institute participant Dr. Ashley Ulmer is featured on the front page of the Spokane Spokesman-Review's website today (Wednesday) in a story about renewed funding for adult dental Medicaid in Washington state under the Affordable Care Act. Ulmer has a private practice in Spokane, and also serves as the Dental Director for the Spokane District Dental Society's Inland Dental Expanded Access (IDEA) Clinic — a joint venture between SDDS, the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic, and Riverstone Family Health. Gov. Jay Inslee recently reappointed WSDA member Dr. James Sledge and two others to the Washington State Board of Health. The three will begin their first full terms representing matters of health and sanitation since filling several vacancies. “I am pleased to reappoint these three board members to full terms,” Inslee said. “They capably represent a wide cross-section of experience from throughout the state.”
