NEW UNC STUDY SHOWS BENEFIT OF WATER FLUORIDATION FOR ADULTS

On March 1, the University of North Carolina released a report on the effects of fluoridated drinking water on dental caries in Australian adults. The report, which was published in the Journal of Dental Research, showed that adults with greater lifetime exposure to fluoridated water had lower levels of caries experience.

IT'S HERE: THE WASHINGTON ORAL HEALTH FOUNDATION'S ANNUAL PHONE-A-THON

For more than a decade, the Washington Oral Health Foundation has been serving communities across the state, providing oral health education in schools, creating acess to care for uninsured children through the Adopt-a-School program, helping the elderly and impoverished get low-cost dentistry through the outreach program, and providing dental care to uninsured children through the Rainier Boys and Girls Club operatory.

Anna Pattison is one of the country's best known and most well-respected hygiene speakers, and this year we're presenting her Advanced Periodontal Instrumentation lecture and workshop at the Pacific Northwest Dental Conference.
