FEDS CHANGE HOW PROVIDERS APPLY INDENTIFICATION NUMBERS ON INSURANCE CLAIMS

The American Dental Association has released an article discussing important federal rule changes related to National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers. These new rules require individual dentists to use Type 1 NPI numbers for all Medicare Part D prescription claims and billing patient prescriptions to third party insurance carriers. THE WASHINGTON ORAL HEALTH FOUNDATION AND 2-1-1: HELPING BRING SERVICES TO THOSE IN NEED

The Washington Information Network 2-1-1 system is a network of seven regional call centers, each with database of community resources.  2-1-1 connects people with important information about training, employment, food pantries, health care, help for aging parents, addiction prevention programs, affordable housing options, support groups, and ways of becoming part of their community.  The Washington Oral Health Foundation (WOHF) is proud to be one of the service's community resources, providing access to care to the people who need it most.
