This year, the Dean of the University of Washington School of Dentistry, Dr. Joel Berg, is closing the school and encouraging all students to attend Friday's Dental Action Day. WSDA and the UWSoD chapter of the American Dental Student Association (ASDA) have been working together to prepare for the event and educate the students on dental issues. Over 200 dental students will converge on Olympia this Friday, making this Dental Action Day the largest in WSDA history.

Over the last month, WSDA staff have given four presentations at the school on the basics of grassroots advocacy and an overview on dental policy. Late last year, ASDA leaders traveled to Olympia and interviewed a group of legislators on how to advocate for the profession. Their video can be found below:

WSDA would like to thank ASDA for its leadership in educating future detnsits about the importance of grassroots advocacy. WSDA will have a live report from Olympia on Friday. Stay tuned!
