WSDA's Committee on Government Affairs has finalized the Association's legislative agenda for 2014. In addition to the Committee, WSDA's House of Delegates and Board of Directors also help shape the scope of what WSDA supports and opposes in Olympia. This year, WSDA will focus on strengthening the dental safety net, reforming how dental benefits are offered inside Washington's health benefit exchange, and opposing new dental workforce models. The Association will also work to educate legislators on how adult dental Medicaid is funded and what dentists are doing to reduce barriers to care.
This Friday, over 350 dentists and dental students will meet in Olympia to talk with legislators about these issues. WSDA's legislative agenda can be found here, a one pager on the dental safety net for children can be found here, and a one pager on the dental safety net for adults can be found here.
