After viewing a YouTube video entitled, “A Smile Changes Everything,” chronicling the efforts of the medical non-profit Operation Smile, which provides free corrective surgeries to children born with cleft lip and palate, UW sophomore Zoe Mesnik-Greene decided to get involved.

Mesnik-Greene has created a line of organic lip balms called Lasting Smile and 100 percent of the net profits generated through the sale of these lip balms will be donated to Operation Smile. Through this project enough money can be raised to provide 65 surgeries to children in need. If all the money is raised by March 14 it will be included in Operation Smiles’ 5x Impact Campaign and provide 312 children with corrective surgeries.

Lasting Smile lip balms can be purchased in packs of 50 for $200, 75 for $300 or 100 lip balms for $400. If you are interested in purchasing, please contact Zoe Mesnik-Greene at An impact report and donation receipt will be provided to all those who participate.
