« Enroll now in the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network! »

The National Dental Practice-Based Research Network is a collaboration of practitioners and clinical researchers investigating important issues that will improve the quality of dental care. Research is conducted in working dental offices on topics relevant to daily clinical practice. Working closely with practitioners, the network will develop study protocols that minimize the impact of studies on clinic operations and patient flow.

There are many ways to participate in the network, and practitioners choose their level of engagement. Enrollment is free, and practitioners receive CE credit and remuneration for study-related activities.

Dentists and hygienists are invited to join the National Network by visiting their website at and clicking “Enroll Now.” After completing the enrollment questionnaire, you will be contacted by Network staff from the Western Region. Information about the network is available at the website, or contact Jeri Starrett, RDH, at or call (503) 894-3004.

The Western Region of the National Dental PBRN is hosting a hands-on workshop on practice-based research at the IADR/AADR conference at the Seattle Convention Center, Saturday March 23, 1:00-3:30PM.

The workshop is free, and you do not have to register for the IADR General Session, but pre-registration is strongly desired for planning purposes. Currently, there are about 80 practitioners and researchers registered to attend. If interested, please contact me or Jeri Starrett at the emails above for more details. Attendees will earn 2.5 hours of CE credit at no cost.
