Dental Action (DAD) 2013 will be held on Friday, January 25th in Olympia. Decisions made this legislative session could result in fundamental changes to how dental care is delivered. Issues like health care reform implementation, funding for higher education and dental residency programs, dental workforce, licensure fees and dental Medicaid funding are sure to be discussed by the legislature in 2013, making participation in DAD all the more critical.
DAD is a free event that allows dentists to meet with their legislators face to face and discuss important issues that affect the dental profession. A typical meeting would involve a group of dentists and their legislator or legislative aide. The meetings will last no more than 15 minutes. In addition to legislative meetings, a free one hour CE course will be provided for all dentists who wish to participate at 11:00 am.
Breakfast will begin at 7:15 am on the Capitol Grounds and appointments will take place throughout the day with most occurring between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm. Sign up to attend today and help ensure that the voice of the dental profession is heard in Olympia.
