On June 1, 2015, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid announced yet another delay of the enforcement date regarding the Part D prescriber enrollment requirement. The implementation date of this new rule which requires dentists who treat or prescribe for Medicare beneficiaries to enroll or opt-out of Medicare will now be June 1, 2016.
The ADA is continuing its work in seeking a legislative repeal of this requirement; however, dentists are encouraged to begin the enrollment or opt-out process as it is unclear how long this process will take as well as whether it will be successful.
To learn more about this requirement in person, attend the “Medicare Regulations and Your Practice” lecture on Friday, June 12th from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. (Hyatt Grand FG-Olympic Tower) at this year’s PNDC. Register today for PNDC 2015!
